The Alabama Community College System has created a boot-camp style training approach to the MSSC certification programs that reduce the time needed for training to as short as 3 1/2 weeks. Qualifying participants will train online and in class. All testing for the national certifications will be included in the 3 ½ week course.
ACCS will also assist in making sure all required federal paperwork is completed.
The skills gap is widening, and over the next decade, 3.4 million manufacturing jobs will likely be needed
In addition, our study estimates 60 percent of these positions are likely to be unfilled due to the talent shortage. As a result, only 1.4 million out of 3.4 million positions are expected to be filled, implying that the U.S. manufacturing sector is likely to suffer a shortfall of 2 million workers over the next decade.
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) provides the only nationally recognized manufacturing certifications in manufacturing production and logistics. These Certificates offer both entry-level and incumbent workers the opportunity to demonstrate that they have acquired the skills increasingly needed in the technology-intensive jobs of the 21st century.
CPT (Certified Production Technician)
The CPT Certification training addresses the core technical competencies of higher skilled production workers in all sectors of manufacturing. Certificates are awarded to individuals who pass any of its Production Modules: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness; and a full Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certification to those who pass all four original modules.
CLT (Certified Logistics Technician)
The CLT Certification Training addresses the core technical competencies of higher skilled, front-line material handling and distribution workers in all supply chain facilities: from factories to warehouses, distribution centers and transporters. MSSC awards the foundational-level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certificate and the nationally recognized Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certification.
